Preparation
How should I prepare?
-
The healthcare provider may instruct you to stop taking certain medications, such as blood thinners and aspirin, before the surgery.
-
You may be instructed to modify your diet the day before, which might include: Eating a light meal/ Fasting after midnight (no food or drink) before the surgery, depending on your procedure's timing.
-
An intravenous (IV) line will be inserted into your arm for medications, fluids, and anesthesia delivery during the procedure. This will help maintain hydration and manage pain or sedation during surgery.
